This March, we are thrilled to showcase Kansas City's finest jazz musicians, hosted by the talented Lonnie McFadden and his Band. Join us on Friday, March 21, for a special performance featuring the talented Chalis O'Neal at Lonnie's Reno Club! Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Chalis discovered his passion for music at a young age, picking up the trumpet at just 11 years old. He honed his skills at the Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts before majoring in Jazz Studies with a minor in Classical Trumpet under the esteemed Bobby Watson at the University of Missouri Kansas City. Chalis draws inspiration from legendary artists including Wynton Marsalis, Miles Davis, Roy Hargrove, and Harold O’Neal, blending jazz with elements of Soul and R&B. His soulful and creative approach to improvisation infuses each performance with dynamic energy, captivating audiences with his eclectic style that spans from jazz venues to theatrical work. In addition to his performances, Chalis has acted in the Broadway show The Buddy Holly Story at the New Theatre Restaurant and has showcased his talent with Quixotic Cirque Nouveau. He is honored to have performed alongside esteemed musicians such as Bobby Watson, Tivon Pennicott, Stephen Scott, and many more. Experience the magic of Lonnie's Reno Club—an elevated dinner show in an authentic Kansas City jazz venue steeped in the rich history of Midwest music. Enhance your evening with prohibition-era cocktails, a thoughtfully curated wine list, and local craft beers for an unforgettable jazz experience. Doors open at 6:15pm, show starts at 7pm. There is an intermission halfway through, and the show ends at 9:30pm. The ticket price includes: - Show Ticket and Welcome Champagne Cocktail Your 3-Course dinner and all other drinks are separate. You will pay for these at the end of the show. * Parking is available upon availability for $15 per vehicle at the Ambassador Hotel (Lonnie’s Reno Club is located in the lower-level of the hotel.) There is public metered parking along Grand Boulevard and also a public parking garage across the street from the main entrance of the hotel.
